Positional Vertigo Treatment
Targeted therapy to address vertigo, ease symptoms, and restore balance and confidence.

Positional Vertigo, also known as Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), is a condition that causes sudden dizziness, often when changing positions. Many patients describe it as feeling like the room is spinning, which can lead to a loss of balance and even nausea. This can make daily activities challenging and uncomfortable.
At Mawson Lakes Physiotherapy, our experienced physiotherapists, including Andrew Scott, who has been treating positional vertigo since 1998, provide effective treatment for BPPV. Our goal is to help you regain your balance and resolve dizziness, so you can get back to your life again. Many of our patients have experienced rapid improvements, sometimes even after just one or two sessions.
What to Expect During Your Positional Vertigo Treatment Session
During your session, we begin by taking a detailed history and performing a series of tests to determine if your dizziness is due to positional vertigo. Once diagnosed, we use a repositioning manoeuvre to help alleviate your symptoms. The procedure is designed to move the crystals in your inner ear back to their proper position, which can significantly reduce or stop dizziness.
We recommend having someone bring you to your appointment, as dizziness can sometimes make travelling difficult. Although many of our patients come through GP referrals, a referral is not required to start your treatment with us.
If you’re struggling with dizziness, our experienced care can help you find relief.
